5 Days Northern Tanzania Safari

Upon arrival in Arusha, meet your safari guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, the park offers an excellent start to your safari. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and diverse birdlife. Spend the day exploring the lakeshore and woodlands, with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the evening, drive to your lodge near Karatu or Ngorongoro for overnight stay.

Today you journey into the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous park. The drive itself is scenic, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending into the vast Serengeti plains. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, searching for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and wildebeest. Overnight in a tented safari camp inside Serengeti.

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and return toward Ngorongoro. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor is rich with wildlife, including the rare black rhino, lions, elephants, and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before returning to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay.

After a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a short city tour or visit a local cultural center before being dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey. End of safari.
